All my life I have been petrified of the dentist. I had a number of bad experiences as a child, and since then I have really let my dental care lapse. My wife recommended Dr. Burt and his team to me, and assured me that they would take care of me. I am soo happy to say my wife was 100% correct! Over the last 2 months I have had a root canal/crown and a dental implant without any significant pain. The whole team there is so supportive and caring while you are being treated. They make sure I do not feel rushed, and I understand exactly what we are doing. I am on my way to having a mouth I feel comfortable with, and I am not embarrassed of. I feel lucky to have them in my corner, and they have completely removed my fear of the dentist!

The first time you visit us at South Shore Dentistry, we will take the time to discuss your health history, past dental experiences, and any related anxieties you may have about dental care.
To help us serve you best, we need to know what your expectations and needs are for dental treatment. Urgent concerns, like mouth pain or a broken tooth, will be addressed immediately.
Nervous about the dentist? Have a child with you? We provide a variety of sedation dentistry options to make your visit to our dental office calm and worry-free!
We Don’t Rush Your Care
Your first appointment will be with either Dr. Burt or Dr. Dadhania and will take approximately 2 hours. During this initial appointment, our dental staff will take digital x-rays, complete an oral cancer screening, perform a complete periodontal evaluation, check your existing dental fillings, and evaluate your bite.
After your teeth are cleaned during your hygiene appointment and your dental exam is complete, Dr. Burt or Dr. Dadhania will determine whether you need any type of restorative dentistry treatment and answer questions you have about your oral health.
As a dental phobic, I was dreading my first visit. I now have a completely different outlook. From the first greeting by the receptionist to my exit stop to make new appointments, everyone was concerned, friendly, and helpful. Jenna, my Hygienist, patiently explained each step of the process, and was gentle at all times. I was particularly impressed by the time she took to review the information requested in the new patient folder, such a medical history. After our session, I was able to meet with Dr Burt and I was again impressed at their level of communication and collaboration regarding my care. I can't say enough about how they inspire confidence and made me eager to continue with my overall plan of care. A far cry from my entry into the building! Thanks to the entire South Shore Dentistry staff!
Your Gums: The Building Blocks Of Your Overall Health
Evidence of gum disease or gum inflammation requires us to take a different approach. Before regular oral care, your gums need to be healthy.
After all, your gums are the foundation to your entire smile! Keeping them healthy is also and important part of keeping your cardiovascular system and respiratory function healthy.
If we find you're suffering the symptoms of gum disease, our dental team will perform a complete exam, thoroughly remove stubborn plaque and tartar from your teeth using a technique called "debridement", then schedule a regular dental hygiene appointment for another day. Dr. Dadhania or Dr. Burt will discuss your treatment options with you and share our recommended course of action to get your gums healthy again.
Save Time Before You Arrive
