IV Conscious Sedation
IV conscious sedation is a safe way to eliminate the fear and anxiety many patients feel during dental procedures. At South Shore Dentistry, our sedation dentistry team is trained to use IV conscious sedation to help ensure you have a comfortable, relaxing experience during your visit.
IV conscious sedation dentistry can also allow Dr. Burt and Dr. Dadhania to complete complex dental procedures in just one or two appointments!
Oral Sedation
If you suffer from dental anxiety, Dr. Burt and Dr. Dadhania may recommend oral sedation. These anti-anxiety pills tone down activity in the parts of your brain that cause you to feel anxious or afraid.
Remember, if you take oral sedation, you cannot drive before or after your appointment. Bring a friend or family member with you to make sure you arrive at our office and return home safely following your appointment.
Laughing Gas
Unfortunately, dental anxiety can keep many patients from visiting the dentist for hygiene appointments and much-needed dental work. If dental appointments make you anxious, Dr. Burt and Dr. Dadhania can administer laughing gas to help you feel more at ease during your visit.
At South Shore Dentistry, laughing gas is administered using a flexible, comfortable mask, allowing you to feel more at ease within minutes. If you are feeling anxious about an upcoming visit, ask about laughing gas. Most of our patients are good candidates for this treatment, including our pediatric dental patients.
